Jessica Tovey is a Clinical Audiologist and Clinical Operations Assistant at Hearology. She brings a combination of hands-on clinical expertise and a passion for developing and leading audiology services. She holds a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from South Africa, where she completed her studies in 2015.
Jess began her career at an NHS-equivalent hospital in South Africa, where she spent five years gaining broad clinical experience. This included supervising students, which ignited her interest in managing and mentoring others. In 2020, she relocated to the UK and joined an independent audiology practice before moving to an independent optician in 2023, where she was instrumental in building their audiology services from the ground up. Promoted to Lead Audiologist in 2025, she took on increasing responsibility for managing clinicians and evolving the service. She joined Hearology in 2026 in her dual role as Clinical Audiologist and Clinical Operations Assistant, a position that draws on her expertise and passions, perfectly.
Jess' interest in audiology came from personal experience. After her younger brother suffered a traumatic incident as a baby that resulted in developmental delays and hearing loss, she witnessed the impact that hearing and communication support can have on a person and their family's quality of life. Her understanding and empathetic approach have shaped her audiology career, as she knew from a young age that she wanted to make a tangible difference to people's lives.
